BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, has today launched the first in its new series of ebooks.
Leaders in Computing: Changing the Digital World is a collection of interviews with some of the most influential figures in the world of information technology. Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Vint Cerf and Steve Wozniak are among the IT legends included in this unique publication, giving accounts of their experiences.
Leaders in Computing is published by the Institute as part of a wider series that will be available in the coming months, consisting of short, authoritative, digital-only publications that offer IT professionals and academics easily accessible snapshots of current trends, developments, opinion and research in IT.
Brian Runciman, Publisher (Editorial), BCS The Chartered Institute for IT, says: 'Leaders in Computing is an exclusive collection of interviews with some of the legends in the history of IT. Phrases such as ‘the internet’ or ‘open source’ are so commonplace it is interesting to see how the great innovators of our time developed these into household terms. I was fortunate enough to conduct many of the interviews included in this eBook and think it will inspire many.'
The series continues next month with the publication of Management Skills in IT, a collection of blogs and articles from leading IT professionals to inspire great IT managers of the future.
