Obituary Jean Morgan FBCS, MBA

17 April 2013

Jean Morgan, a previous IRMA Treasurer, died on 9 April 2013.

I had the pleasure of working with Jean during the many years she served on the IRMA Management Committee. I found her to be pragmatic, creative and focused and she always worked with integrity and passion.

Her areas of expertise included: programme management, project management, consultancy, project audit, project health checks, IT due diligence and risk management. She had experience in the finance, insurance, banking, government (defence) and IT services sectors.

She was also an IT expert witness in civil and criminal cases and co-authored a Manager's Guide to IT Law. At one time she took a career break to work as a driving instructor.

Jean was educated at Plymouth High School for Girls and received an MBA from the Open University. She was a great rugby fan, supporting both Gloucester and Salisbury RFCs and the Bishop Wordsworth's School 1st XV.

She is survived by husband Phil and son Nathan.
