As there are very limited numbers, booking is essential. Email Margaret.ross@solent.ac.uk with subject 'Hampshire Branch NOC 22 October Visit', giving the full name(s), BCS grade if applicable, and the car registration number (as this information is required in advance).

There is slight possible of a change of date, if this happens, those with accepted bookings will have first option of attending on the re-scheduled date.

          - Intro to NOC - Southampton & Liverpool and the work we do
          - Oceanography - early beginnings and the Challenger expedition
          - Equipment & Vehicles - ROV and AUV
          - Artefacts and animals
          - James Cook and modern day research
14.00 Visit to the NOC Research Aquarium
14.30 Visit to the British Ocean Sediment Core Research Facility (BOSORF)
15.00 Visit to Deep Sea Research Vehicle Hanger
15.30 Tour finishes
