Summary:

Workshop: Ergonomics of Computer Workstations, and of the safe use of other mobile technology - keeping yourself safe.

The workshop will be based around one of their standard training sessions intended for individuals who use a DSE workstation during their working day or even at home, in addition to use of mobile technology.

The workshop will discuss the possible health risks associated with DSE, from Repetitive Strain Injuries to Eye Strain. Advice will be given to help minimise these risks, both the employer and the employee can take action. The employer should provide eye testing and a system of risk assessment, but more importantly the employee can check their working routines and workstation fit.

Optimising these factors can make a difference to the risk exposure. A simple, practical 4-point plan to set up a workstation to fit the User is provided.
