The management of IT risk has become of great importance mainly due to the impact of statutory and regulatory frameworks. Not all companies will face the same IT risks, but an understanding of the nature of risk and how IT risks can be identified and categorised will be useful to any organisation. Simply identifying a risk is only part of the story. The management of the risk is of equal importance and the session will discuss what techniques are available. The concepts of embedded monitors and early warning indicators will be introduced and how they fit into the overall risk management process.
