BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and EXIN, a leading international certification institute in the ICT domain, launch the new and unique certification programme in Service Integration and Management (SIAM) - the BCS EXIN SIAM® Foundation certificate.
This new certification is the first one to be developed on the topic of SIAM, a concept, which although not new, has seen a growth in adoption following the trend towards multi sourcing and distributed services.
The certification fills a gap in the current ICT certification landscape and provides an ideal opportunity for Service Managers to expand their knowledge in the area of service integration and management. The SIAM® Foundation certification will be followed by a Professional level certification later in 2017.
SIAM is tailored to a multi-party environment and focuses on the specific challenges that come with multi-sourcing and adapts existing Service Management processes, practices and techniques to work effectively in a multi-service provider environment.
Jon Buttriss, CEO of BCS Learning and Development Ltd, part of the Institute explains: “As we move beyond traditional service management frameworks into a world where most companies are now outsourcing significant parts of their services and infrastructure, SIAM has never been more relevant. We are pleased to work with EXIN and Scopism to deliver this cutting-edge certification.”
Bernd Taselaar, CEO of EXIN, says: “The overwhelming interest in this new certification from all over the world confirms that professionals and organisations have been waiting for the specific guidance this certification offers.”
The SIAM® Body of Knowledge, the content which the SIAM® certification programme is based on, has been developed by programme architect Scopism together with an expert team that has extensive knowledge of and background in IT Service Management.
