BCS Facilities Manager wins Pattenmakers Young Managers Award

Chantilly ColeChantilly Cole, the in-house Facilities Manager for BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT has won The Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers Young Manager Award (FM) 2018.

Chantilly was chosen following a judging process with a strong field of candidates put forward by many well-known organisations - including some of the UK’s biggest FM service providers

Chantilly, who was nominated by BCS said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have won this award. I really enjoy my job, but it’s lovely to get this recognition and I’m very much looking forward to attending the awards ceremony in the new year.”

She will receive a bespoke professional development programme from the Worshipful Company and a cash bursary donated by Glennister Associates, the FM business consultancy.

The Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers has run its Young Manager Award Scheme for over 25 years and has supported many individuals with their career development over that time. This year’s judging panel was chaired by Richard Muir supported by David Sharp, Kath Fontana, Martin Pickard, all senior industry figures and members of the Pattenmakers’ Company.

Speaking of Chantilly’s entry, chair of the judging panel, Richard Muir said: “The standard of entry this year was extremely high which bodes well for the future of our industry. Chantilly was highly personable, presentable, driven and enthusiastic. She is a very polished candidate with immense energy and the genuine potential to be a future star of our profession.”

Rob Deri, Group Finance Director at BCS added: “I would like to congratulate Chantilly on this outstanding achievement and am delighted that she has been recognised with this prestigious award. She is an inspirational individual and we are very proud to have her as part of our team at BCS.”

Chantilly will receive her award at the Company’s annual banquet at the Mansion House in January courtesy of the Lord Mayor of London and will be supported by the Company throughout 2018. She will also receive the Freedom of the Livery with the opportunity to apply for the Freedom of the City of London at a later stage.
