The Advanced Programming Specialist Group of the British Computer Society deals with all aspects of programming and software technology. It concentrates on the new ideas underlying recent developments, and is not confined to particular programming languages or development methods.
The Group meets once a month from October to the following May. Meetings usually start at 6pm, and comprise a technical talk by a specialist speaker, followed by questions and a discussion.
Admission to evening meetings is free, but it is necessary to pre-register by sending an email containing your name to Dr Frank Martin, the Vice-Chairman: please see the web pages for the address.
Please refer to the Events list on the left for details of individual meetings; note - event details may change at short notice, so please check regularly.
To join the Group it is necessary to be a BCS member, but non-members are welcome to attend occasionally as guests.
