BCS is a registered charity: No 292786
All three levels of the BCS Professional Examinations are accredited by the QCA.
The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland recognises and regulates awarding bodies (such as BCS) and their qualifications to ensure that high quality standards are maintained.
The authority also advises the UK Government about all qualifications, including the national curriculum and assessment.
QCA recognition means acceptance into the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland which sets out the levels at which qualifications can be recognised.
For course providers, this will mean that BCS Professional Examinations will be eligible for funding from the Learning and Skills Council (LSC).
QCA recognition may also help overseas students in applying for study visas to the UK.
The qualifications are listed on OpenQUALS, the QCA's online database of accredited qualifications, and can easily be found by doing a keyword search on "BCS".
