The software development industry

The contribution by the software development industry to the UK's economy is to the tune of £20 billion per year.

However, the industry is at risk of being undermined by various factors, such as lack of communication between academia and employers and not attracting sufficient venture capital.

BCS formed part of a working party which has produced a report looking at the current situation and identified actions needed to maintain a thriving software development industry in the UK.
