CRM and CMS importance expected to grow

29/07/2009

The importance of CRM and CMS is expected to grow as more business is conducted through the internet, a software company has said.

According to Modera, many businesses are failing to optimise their online content as they do not have control or even access to their website.

Siim Vips, chief executive officer at the firm, said that it 'makes perfect sense' for brands to build and manage their business requirements through a CMS or CRM.

'These systems enable them to pull in what they need and when they need it, providing the right platform to work from is implemented from the outset,' he explained.

Mr Vips added that CMS is 'as simple to use as word processing software or a social network' and allows any facet of a business to manage a website.

Findings from the PayPal UK Online Retail Report, conducted by Experian, revealed that online shopping is expected to increase to £21.3 billion per year by 2011.
