Roger Needham Award

This award is made annually for a distinguished research contribution in computer science by a UK based researcher within ten years of their PhD.

The award was established in memory of the late Professor Roger Needham, and is sponsored by Microsoft Research.

In addition to receiving the prestigious award, the recipient will also have an opportunity to give a public lecture on their work.

Roger Needham Award 2009

Dr Byron Cook is the sixth winner of the Roger Needham award. He will present his lecture at the Royal Society, London on 4th November 2009.
