No prior knowledge of IT or skill in computing is needed to study ECDL; it is designed for people wishing to gain a benchmark qualification in computing to enhance their career prospects or for personal development.

717 ECDL completers were surveyed in Spring 2009; of these, 98% said they would recommend ECDL to friends and family.

The skills gained over the course of the qualification will not only improve your career options, but take the frustration out of using your computer on an everyday basis by boosting both your efficiency and your confidence.

ECDL is split into three levels: ECDL Essentials, ECDL Extra and ECDL Advanced.

Also available is ECDL CAD (Computer Aided Design). This qualification focuses on 2D Computer Aided Design.

The qualification that is right for you will depend on your current skills and experience, as well as on what you want from your qualification.
