Education & Training Expert Panel

The Education and Training Expert Panel (EdTrEP) covers all aspects of schools education (primary and secondary), pre-school, further and higher education, learning at home, life-long learning, and teacher education (both pre and in-service).

The Panel coordinates the work of various working groups, watching briefs and reports to the Education and Training Forum.

EdTrEP comprises people with knowledge, understanding and experience of IT in education who believe in striving to improve the quality of education and in actively influencing those concerned with creating such improvement.

EdTrEP is concerned with educational aspects of the whole range of IT. Amongst such aspects are:

  • Activities to attract students to continue their study of IT the subject
  • Information to encourage students to recognise the potential of a Career in IT
  • IT to enhance and extend the curriculum
  • IT as a specific subject
  • IT supporting teachers
  • IT in the management of education
  • IT to enable inclusion

The Expert Panel operates over the following domains:

  • Pre-School and Early Years
  • Junior and Secondary
  • Further and Higher
  • Teacher Education (both pre and in-service)
  • learning at home
  • life-long learning
