Professional Development events

This year your committee are trying out a new themed set of events on professional development. Some of our members may be entering management for the first time, need particular skills to do well in an interview, or simply want a refresher on certain aspects of their professional/technical development.

The events are organised into two parts. The first is career development related and will run in the Autumn of 2012, the other technical development based around the highly successful agile development method, and will be run in Spring 2013.

According to survey results from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, the majority of people working in IT recognise that continuing professional development (CPD) is an important factor in terms of building on skills and growing potential.
