Nick White

Nick has spent 45 years working in IT, mainly in telecommunications. He has been a Member of BCS since the mid 1970s, and is a CITP and a Fellow of CMA. Nick worked for Reuters for ten years, helping to establish their global network, and was also responsible for IT and telecommunications at other blue-chip companies, including HSBC and Unilever. In the 1980s, Nick was one of the Value Added Network Service pioneers, chairing a Midland Bank subsidiary which competed in commercial computer bureau and network services.

Since leaving Unilever, he has operated as a freelance consultant in international telecommunications, speaking regularly at international conferences. Nick has been a Vice President of INTUG since 1994, and has been Executive Vice President since 2006. Nick joined CMA in the early 1980s and was chairman from 1990-1993, retiring from the committee in 1994. Having re-joined the committee in 2006, Nick provides a deep knowledge of regulatory affairs and global telecoms operations.
