Leonard Cheshire Disability logo BCS is proud to announce that it is supporting Leonard Cheshire Disability, by raising funds at the BCS IT Industry Awards Presentation Ceremony 2007.

Leonard Cheshire Disability supports 21,000 disabled people in the UK, and many thousands more worldwide.

The charity delivers a range of disability support services from residential and respite care, care at home, and innovative life and vocational skills training, including a national computing programme called Discover IT.

Discover IT enables disabled people to access computer equipment, software and skills training in a group setting at a Leonard Cheshire Disability day centre.

There are currently ten Discover IT suites across the UK with plans for more in the future. Funds raised at the 2007 BCS IT Industry Awards Presentation Ceremony will go directly to supporting these services.
