Human face lit in red Security experts take to the podium in Birmingham

Speakers from HSBC, Cisco, and QinetiQ are among the experts who will take to the stage at the 4th BCS Birmingham IT Security Conference on 6 June.

Delegates will hear speeches on the latest ways of managing risk and exposure to IT security threats.

The themes of the event are governance and identity - about supporting business processes so that operations can be conducted with safety, integrity and assurance.

A keynote address will be given by Stephanie Daman, head of information assurance at HSBC, on the topic of information assurance in a global bank.

Also speaking are Paul King, senior security advisor, Cisco Systems; Russ Davis of Senselect on ID cards; David Lacey, former director of security at the Royal Mail, on security innovation and more.

BCS President Charles Hughes will open the day-long event to be held at the Lakeside Conference Centre on the Aston University campus in Birmingham.
