How managing knowledge can add value to your consultancy and ultimately to your clients.

Rose will explain how integrating knowledge management (KM) tools through the consultancy cycle, adds value and ultimately empowers the client. Part of the session will include a practical case study using a selection of KM tools. Anyone undertaking internal or external consultancy projects will benefit, taking away with them a useful toolkit and information on further resources.

Rose Atkinson is a career civil servant with 33 years service in three Whitehall departments, twelve years at senior management level. In that time she has had frontline experience in the employment sector during a major recession; managed internal responses to major refugee crises and international terrorist attacks; undertaken internal consultancy and implemented business change. Since 2008 she has been Head of Knowledge Management for the Cabinet Office.

In 2009 Rose decided to seek a CMCE award to enhance her knowledge management role and she has subsequently spoken on a number of CMCE courses about adding value to consultancy through effective knowledge management.
