BYOD and cloud applications heighten corporate security risks

Thursday 3 July 2014

Park Plaza Hotel, Boar Lane, City Square, Leeds, LS1 5NS

While enterprises are embracing cloud technologies and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) initiatives, not all have IT controls in place to properly manage them, putting themselves at an increased risk of fraud, theft and privacy breaches.

Many companies have experienced the loss of company-owned devices containing sensitive information, and have experienced situations where terminated workers have tried to access company data or applications after they left the organisation.

IT leaders are also becoming increasingly concerned about business users sharing passwords across personal cloud and corporate apps to sensitive data.
