Event Overview:

This is one of several social evenings that take place across the academic year. The icebreaker is always the first event on the calendar and is designed to encourage networking, game development/technology related discussion with students, enthusiasts and industry professionals.

A selection of technologies will be available to try such as Oculus Rift, Leap Motion, the latest next-gen consoles along and some classic arcade game titles.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along their own hardware for demonstration.

To be held in the main foyer of the Creative Industries Building and room CIB 108.

A selection of pizzas and soft drinks will be provided.

Provisional Timetable:

  • 6.30pm - Meet & Greet - Main reception of CIB
  • 7.00pm - Gaming/Social Sessions Opens
  • 8.00pm - Refreshments (Pizza & Soft Drinks)
  • 10.00pm - Finish
