End user organisations, vendors, market analysts, service organisations and others attend this event, and we welcome new participants.

For further details:

  • 6:00 pm - Coffee and networking
  • 6:45 pm - UK SAM Networking Introduction
  • 7.00 pm - Bringing your own licenses to the Cloud - Kieron Dean, Flexera Software
As more and more organisations make the shift towards leveraging public cloud infrastructures on which to run their core workloads, the major software vendors have created licensing policies permitting the use of existing licenses to cover software deployments running on public cloud infrastructure - also known as “Bring Your Own Software License” (BYOSL) policies. This session provides an overview of the BYOSL policies of Microsoft, Oracle and IBM.
  • 7:40 pm - Refreshments
  • 8:00 pm - Panel Discussion - The Future of Software Licensing Audits
The decision by a software vendor to audit a particular organisation is based on a finely balanced judgement that the additional revenue bought in through the audit will outweigh the cost of conducting the audit and the damage to the long term customer relationship. Does the advent of subscription based licensing, as exemplified in Cloud and Software-as-a-Service, spell the end of the software licensing audit as we know it?
Join us for a panel discussion to dig down into these issues and explore the future of software licensing audits.
  • 9:00 pm - Close
