Gary Nuttall, Managing Director of Distlytics

In the 1980's a team established a protocol known as TCP/IP upon which the Internet is based. In 1990 a protocol called HTTP was introduced which resulted in the World Wide Web. In 2008 a paper on a protocol known as Bitcoin was published. Said to be the next major evolution of the Internet, the technology underpinning Bitcoin, known as Blockchain, or even Distributed Ledger Technology is seeing major investments by Financial Institutions. This presentation will provide a non-technical background to the protocol which is currently gained a significant amount of publicity and is "the" latest buzzword.
