Scaling agile is the buzzword of the moment. In this talk I'll go beyond the hype and share my first hand experience, warts and all, in helping large scale projects - involving from ~100 up to more than 700 programmers and testers (not counting managers, product owners and scrum masters) - with their transition to a suitable agile methodology. I'll share both what worked and what didn't (and why SAFe, DAD, and other large scale agile frameworks are not necessarily the answer).

About the speaker:

After many years providing consulting, training, and advice, as well as coding, to projects of all sizes, he recently joined Zuhlke Engineering in London as a Lead Consultant. He is a past Chair of the London XPDay and the ACCU conferences, and the Industry & Practice co-chair for XP2016. He is a member of the Agile Alliance, the ACM, the IEEE Computer Society, and a contributor to the “97 Things Every Programmer Should Know” book published by O’Reilly.
