The Presentation
The presentation discusses the available Augmented Reality (AR) technologies for use at museums, archaeological sites and the wider cultural sector. With the reference to recent case studies, it will focus on AR as a means of widening visitor demographics, encouraging on-site engagement, creating narratives, displaying ‘restorations’ and of providing alternative commercial avenues for administrations.
About the Speaker
Neil Brewis is a Senior Lecturer at Solent University. He started at Solent in April 2017 and has recently written the two new dedicated degree programs in BA(Hons) Virtual and Augmented Reality (Design) and BSc(Hons) Virtual and Augmented Reality (Software Development) due for commencement in September 2018.
