The importance of effective management of privacy is increasing as the amount of personal information collected and held about individuals continues to grow. How can companies holding sensitive data about us strive for "privacy by design"?

Privacy by Design is an approach to process and systems engineering that takes privacy into account throughout the whole change management and system development lifecycle. Jeremy will examine the privacy by design principles and explain how the IT function can support them by delivering services in a way that not only demonstrates but also ensures that privacy risk is taken seriously.

Jeremy Kajendran leads EY's UK Financial Services GDPR and Privacy Practice. He has over 13 years practical experience within Privacy and Information Security, including Information Security and Data Privacy Officer at BNP Paribas (UK). He has supported financial services institutions on their GDPR journey since 2015.
