Coffee chain looking for improved efficiency with new software

Costa Coffee, the global hospitality chain, has adopted a new industry-specific software solution from Torex in a bid to improve efficiency.

Torex Dynamics Nav, which carries an enterprise resource planning tool, has been installed throughout the organisation's branches and is expected to streamline Costa's operations saving the firm time and money.

Before the implementation, Costa operated the same system as other organisations within the Whitbread brand.

However, it was decided that Torex's solution, which was designed especially for the hospitality market, would provide the firm with 'valuable business insight'.

Head of Costa Systems CJ Bobrowski explained: 'We have fully implemented the new system and are already seeing significant benefits.

'With greater insight into trends we can adapt more quickly to any changes in consumer needs, helping us to stay ahead of competition in a crowded marketplace.'

Costa Coffee currently boasts worldwide coverage with 1,069 branches operating in the UK and 442 spread across 25 countries.
