Mike Osborne, Managing Director: Availability Solutions & Development ICM will be giving a talk entitled “Business Continuity - its importance in today’s world”. There will also be an opportunity to tour our state of the art facilities afterwards. 

Mike will cover how the industry is evolving, what influences are shaping the role of the business continuity professional and will provide some ideas about how to prepare for the coming changes. The evening is aimed at highlighting the importance of business continuity in today’s world and creating debate as well as offering solutions.

Mike OsborneMike Osborne is Managing Director: Availability Solutions & Development of ICM. He has worked for the firm since 1993, when he started as operations manager, becoming Operations Director in 1995. In 1996 Mike took the role of Managing Director, overseeing the integration of ICM with disaster recovery firm NDR in 2007, following the £110m acquisition of ICM by NDR’s parent company, Phoenix IT. As MD, Mike was responsible for a £55m turnover company with more than 200 staff across 18 locations across the UK.In the years since his appointment, Mike has overseen a programme of successful, strategic growth for ICM, with record investment levels.

Mike is heavily involved with a number of key industry bodies. He is Chair of the Business Continuity Service Providers Group, on the board of The Scottish Continuity Group, a member of the Business Continuity Institute and the West Midlands [IoD].
