Digital Forensics: What's that lurking in my logs?

According to the Verizon Data Breach 2011 report, cybercrime attacks are now a major problem thus increasing the need to monitor and mine log data. Alistair will outline the importance of including log data in an incident response and digital forensics investigation. LogRhythm have produced an award winning (SC Magazine 2011) software solution to this problem commonly known as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management). Additionally, their technology is also used to ensure compliance with a myriad of mandates such as PCI DSS, NERC CIP, GLBA, FISMA, HIPAA, SOX and GPG 13.
