Synopsis:

In his presentation Simon Bolton will address ISO 19770. Now classified as a management standard, ISO 19770 has a wider remit - going beyond software asset management (SAM) into full IT asset management (ITAM). The reasons for change at varied, but key points being the overlaps between software and hardware management, and more broadly, how IT assets have evolved in our increasingly digitised world. Bolton will talk to what 'Digital' means for IT asset management today and in the years to come. As organisations transform themselves for the digital age there is a clear risk of being exposed by any shortcomings in existing (traditional) ITAM and SAM models. Bolton explains why digital transformation affects ITAM and SAM, and how ISO 19770 can help.
