The Corsham Institute’s Mission is to find the most effective ways for people to learn, adapt and thrive in our continuously changing digital world.
Catherine Knivett: Director of Strategy and Programmes. Catherine manages the design and rollout our programmes, ensuring they provide what the end users need so The Institute can deliver positive social impact. Prior to joining Corsham Institute, Catherine was the digital skills policy lead for the Mayor of London and pioneered a new way to engage young people with employer-led training. She is passionate about supporting people of all ages and backgrounds to grow the skills and resilience they need for the digital age.
Olivia Wolfheart: Project Manager, Children & Young People. Olivia leads the project which helps children and young people develop the digital and life skills they need now and in the future.Prior to this Olivia worked with BCS to influence technical policy, and has also taught GCSE computing at a school in Hampshire. She also volunteers as a mentor for a local youth charity. Olivia is excited about how technology is influencing our future and recognises the difference it can make to our lives when created and used responsibly
Corsham Insitute work in partnership with communities, businesses and other organisations to develop learning programmes that support people to develop digital skills alongside human skills such as creativity, critical thinking and problem solving. The speakers will give an overview of Corsham Institute and its programmes and then take a deeper look at the Children and Young People’s programme, the local engagement that’s been done within the project so far and an overview of its Safer Internet Festival.
