One of our priorities is to bring the latest in research to our members and the wider profession. As part of this effort, the BCS London Central Branch and FACS group are holding a doctoral research symposium on Thursday 6 June 2019.

We are inviting doctoral students to take part in this symposium and to share their research (both in progress and completed) with our members through a one-day event that features speakers on relevant topics, as well as a poster session about their research. The theme for the symposium will be “Making IT Good for Society” and students will be asked to consider this when submitting their research, although other research topics are also welcome.

Interested students should submit a 150-200 word abstract to me by 24 May 2019 using the email address below. The planned programme for the symposium is below and more details will be provided to participants nearer the time.
