SYNOPSIS
It’s been grim for many organizations but there are some organizations which have survived and thrived during this pandemic.

Visionaries armed with digital transformation projects recognized early that a change in society and the nature of “work” required their organizations to position themselves for success.

This is a look at the changes which have suddenly pushed discussions of organizational resiliency and risk to the highest levels in government and corporations.

At the very centre of this is rapid change are hundreds of thousands of web applications to provide physical product and digital services b2b or b2c. These applications have become a vital & critical service and they are not nearly as secure, nor resilient as we need them to be.

Exploitation, detection, response and recovery can happen in minutes or hours. The rapid speed of a security event – at cloud speed – presents all manner of challenges from a Risk, Governance, Audit and Operational perspective.

Ian Thornton-Trump, CD CISO for Cyjax is going to dismantle the myth of “there was nothing we could do” for organizations who fell victim to cybercriminals or experienced unprecedented growth as a result of these extraordinary times. “There is always something you can do.”
