Synopsis

An introduction to the National Digital Platform (NDP) and openEHR.

The Digital Platform uses an openEHR data store for storing clinical and care data. openEHR is a formal specification for creating electronic health records that prevents customer lock-in to a single supplier, ensures the NHS maintains control and ownership of the data and enables front line workers to be involved in development. Paul will discuss the background to the NDP, outline it’s architectural approach and provide a brief introduction to openEHR data modelling.
