Synopsis

The proliferation of drones beyond leisure use and into commercial and public sector settings has highlighted the requirement for auditors and assurance specialists to become aware of the various risks associated with this emerging technology.

This session explores how highly specialised risks could be identified and applied dependant on the type of drone and its intended use. As well as the technology element, the session will highlight the various regulations that require compliance which if not applied could expose an organisation to fines or subsequent litigation.

Finally, the session will explore a basic audit work programme that could be applied at the business case stage for a proposed drone infrastructure.
