University accreditation is an important aspect of the work of BCS. In this session Prof Alastair Irons, Vice President of the BCS Academy of Computing will talk about the accreditation landscape and how the British Computer Society Academic Accreditation is being redesigned to recognise graduates’ readiness for the workplace. We will also hear from Dr David Bowers from The Open University who will talk about the The Institute of Coding Accreditation Model, why it will help employers be able to identify graduates with experience and how micro-credentials will help graduates demonstrate they are ready for work.
