Indranil has worked in the IT industry and has performed a number of major roles in software engineering, IT strategy, project delivery including training and development. He is focused on deploying digital strategy and transformation opportunities in the insurance sector. Indranil explores advanced professionalism in further education and training.

James has taught mathematics and computer science at the University of Bath since 1983 and has roles in various academic committees within the industry. He drafted the BCS evidence for the Lords and Commons enquiries into Algorithms and AI, and leads one of the Institute of Coding themes.

Since 1985 when he established the company, Alistair has run Revell Research Systems, a management and technology consulting practice. He is keen strengthen our links with small IT firms and wider communities.

Acting as vice president of public affairs at ARM, Stephen contributes to international public policy thinking. He has also served as a British diplomat. Using this experience, he ensures our decisions positively impact society.

Paul joined us in 2014 after 10 years in director roles at RM education and senior management consultancy positions at A.T. Kearney and KPMG. He is a graduate from the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.

Rob is a chartered accountant with over 25 years’ experience in senior finance roles and board positions at a number of well-known companies including Burton Group, BT Mobile Communications and a national children’s charity. He joined us in 2016.

Bill leads our policy and parliamentary engagement, focusing on creating a stable digital infrastructure in the UK. Before this role he was the Director of Education and prior to BCS spent 20 years in research into the mathematical foundations of computer science.

Julia helps us ensure the next generation thrives in the digital age. Once a teacher herself, she has a track record of successfully managing education technology programmes and was involved in establishing the Barefoot Computing Programme across the UK.

Carl helps us to engage effectively with our members, the wider IT industry and the general public. He began his BCS career back in 1998 managing and developing our website and has since led a number of programmes of significant change to our infrastructure and business systems.
