BCS User Qualifications and Accessibility
There is an ever expanding suite of IT user qualifications offered by BCS.
The European Computer Driving Licence qualification (ECDL), for example, is regarded amongst industry and commerce in the UK as the benchmark of IT competency and an essential component of an employee's CV.
As a consequence, there is greater demand and expectation for such qualifications to be accessible to all. This is of paramount importance to BCS.
If you follow the links on the left hand side, you will find information about how we are improving the accessibility of our IT User qualifications such as ECDL, BCS Level 1 and BCS Level 2.
The policy covers our accessibility guidelines and the procedures for requesting reasonable adjustments. The 'Quality Mark' acknowledges the contribution that organisations have made towards improving the accessibility of our qualifications.
We are building up a bank of resources related to accessibility. This will ensure that all centre staff have access to relevant advice and appropriate information when disabled students register for a BCS qualification like ECDL.
