BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, promotes wider social and economic progress through the advancement of information technology science and practice. The Institute serves over 70,000 members including practitioners, businesses, academics and students, in the UK and internationally.
The Information Risk Management and Assurance (IRMA) Group supports practitioners in the areas of information systems risk management and audit, and promotes the awareness and use of computer auditing, control and risk management techniques.
IRMA holds regular technical briefings and arranges discounts for members on the cost of audit and security-related products, conferences and training courses.

Our monthly meetings run from September through to June, usually in central London, but with the occasional foray elsewhere. The subjects covered are diverse to reflect the different interests of the membership, but with a strong emphasis on control, audit and security matters.
