Game Reviews and Previews

  • If ever there was going to be a game that would cause controversy then it would have to be a South Park one. Having played it, I would have to say that this is one for South Park fans only.
  • Anyone who has ever heard me talk about games and games of films will know that I generally avoid them more than a plague of plague-ridden things with a long stick for poking barges. However, when it comes to Lego games that isn’t the case.
  • Games such as Microsoft’s Flight Simulator are icons of gaming. That and others like it prided themselves on their accuracy and for being so lifelike that they have even been used to train pilots. • Having spent many an hour ridding Gotham of criminals, now you can extend your super hero activity wider with SHIELD and all the characters from the Marvel universe.
  • It's Christmas Eve in Gotham and Batman is doing the rounds. The Caped Crusader isn't handing out presents though, he's handing out justice.
  • Ever since Altair scaled his first towering minaret and surveyed the jaw dropping holy land around him, Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed franchise has enjoyed success beyond their wildest dreams.
  • Is it a game, or is it a film? Well it’s clearly a game but it does like to think it’s a film. Or something like that anyway.
  • Like chess is to draughts and snooker to pool, Battlefield plays the wider, deeper, more strategic game than its tighter first person shooter counterpart, Call of Duty.
  • Despite not being the fifth game in the GTA series, the much anticipated GTA V is here and it certainly lives up to its hype.
  • ‘It’s a funny old game,’ commented Jimmy Hill once, on football. Well itchy chin to you, James, because with Electronic Arts involved, football is neither funny nor old.
