Interacting with Computers (IwC) was launched in 1987 to provide interdisciplinary access to the results of HCI-based research - an increasingly crucial need within the computer, information and design sciences. This highly respected international peer-reviewed journal has a strong Impact Factor of 1.233 (5-year, 1.455).
The Editor-in-Chief is Dianne Murray, one of the original founders of the Interaction group.
Since 1985 the Interaction Group has run the British People and Computers annual conference. The conference brings together researchers and practitioners in HCI and User Experience from around the world to present and discuss the latest ideas in Human Computer Interaction. The conference is overseen by the Group as the steering committee with a program committee established each year to carry our full peer review of the submitted papers.
Interaction publishes Interfaces, the award-winning quarterly magazine with features, events, reviews and jobs. Interfaces is available in print for members and as downloads for everyone else.
Downloadable copies are available from the Interfaces Archive in PDF format.
