Interacting with Computers

Interacting with Computers (IwC) was launched in 1987 to provide interdisciplinary access to the results of HCI-based research - an increasingly crucial need within the computer, information and design sciences. This highly respected international peer-reviewed journal has a strong Impact Factor of 1.233 (5-year, 1.455).

The Editor-in-Chief is Dianne Murray, one of the original founders of the Interaction group.

The British People and Computers Conference Proceedings

Since 1985 the Interaction Group has run the British People and Computers annual conference. The conference brings together researchers and practitioners in HCI and User Experience from around the world to present and discuss the latest ideas in Human Computer Interaction. The conference is overseen by the Group as the steering committee with a program committee established each year to carry our full peer review of the submitted papers.

Our Conference Papers are held in the BCS eWiC's archive and the ACM Digital Library

Interfaces magazine archive

The group published an award-winning quarterly magazine called Interfaces which contained features, events, reviews and jobs. Copies are available to view and download from the magazine archive.
