BCS Local Branches have the responsibility of promoting the aims of BCS in their local area.
BCS South Wales Branch achieves this through a number of ways including (but not limited to) running events covering technical, business and personal development aspects of professional development, sponsoring/partnering events run by other organisations where benificial and promoting organisational and individual membership of BCS.
Beti Williams, for many years one of our branch committee members and one of the leading lights in Women @ BCS in Wales, has been appointed an MBE for services to Women in Science, Engineering and Technology. Beti was also Director, IT Wales, Swansea University until her retirement last autumn.
New events have recently been added to the website (18th Jan).
Members might like to know that they can only book places for the Turing Lecture through the IET website (which will require registration).
