BCS Berkshire Branch

Windsor Castle

Berkshire is a great place for anyone interested in computing and IT. The BCS Berkshire branch committee is enthusiastic about organising events and talks on new IT topics and trends.

We are committed to working with organisations, schools and colleges to raise the profile of computing and IT in the local area, to children, students and adults. Keep an eye on our Events page for upcoming events. Most events are free so come along and bring your friends!

Get involved!

We also want to hear what is important to you. If there are topics you would like to see on the event list, have an idea about how the Berkshire branch can help people in your area, or are just interested in finding out more about the branch, feel free to contact us. If you have some time on your hands or want to bring ideas to the branch, why not join our Committee, or get involved in Volunteering? We are always happy to see new faces.

We are now in our summer break, but bookings are open for the rest of our events in 2017. Next up is our AGM.

Events Videos

We occasionally put videos of an event onto our YouTube channel, for example our October 2014 Big Data event. Subscribe to the 'BCS Berkshire' channel, and while you are there, to the main 'BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT' channel too. We are now also looking at streaming events on Facebook.

Volunteer links

Local organisations, usually charities with insufficient resources of their own, are often looking for volunteers to help them with IT related issues and training. If you can spare some time to help, please visit our volunteering page and see if what is currently needed matches your skills.
