User Centred Design - techniques to use early in the project lifecycle
16 May 2012, Shipley. This event will cover; an overview of usability techniques and when they are best deployed, tips, tricks and tools for testing in-house and common usability testing requirements and a practical exercise on how to solve.
The e-Health Capability and QIPP - the evidence about what works
23 May 2012, Manchester. This event includes results from the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust and other NHS Trusts. It will be of particular interest to Clinical CIOs, IM&T managers, operational managers, and people who are involved with IT-enabled transformation programmes focused on the QIPP Agenda in the NHS.

The Graduate 2011 was a huge success. Congratulations from BCS, Yorkshire Water, Graduates Yorkshire, KPMG and Capgemini go to all of this years finalists, but in particular to this years winner, Alex Vaughan. More information and photos to follow.

A New Aim for the New Year
'A New Year' may seem a little premature, but as our new financial year started in September, November feels fairly early on! The West Yorkshire Branch held its first Committee Meeting last night, and one of the key agenda items was our aim for this financial year. It has been noted that in the last few years numbers at our meetings have been gradually decreasing.
