AGM 2015

The Annual General Meeting of the BCS Specialist Group in Software Testing (SIGiST) will be held on Tuesday 15th September 2015 at the London BCS Offices at 5 Southampton Street, London, WC2E 7HA.

Call for new committee members

At the AGM this September there are a number of committee posts up for election. We are particularly keen to get volunteers to stand for the three positions listed below which are currently vacant. The roles are not particularly onerous. Committee members attend an early evening conference call once a quarter, with a possible face-to-face meeting in London once a year usually the evening before one of our conference days. Regular attendance at our one-day conferences to assist with running the day is expected but you do get free entry which benefits both you and your company. Outside these times other work can be fitted around your availability.

  • Treasurer - managing the finances for the SIGIST and liaising with the BCS accounts team
  • Sponsor/Vendor Co-Ordinator - liaising with potential sponsors/vendors to encourage them to sponsor or take stands at conferences
  • Marketing Co-Ordinator - marketing the conferences to attendees and looking at how we can adapt our conference offerings to better meet the needs of our members
