BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, promotes wider social and economic progress through the advancement of information technology science and practice.

The objective of BCS Entrepreneurs is to engage with entrepreneurial communities to grow the digital ecosystem for the benefit of members and society.

The group provides a real-time forum for existing and would-be entrepreneurs to network with an expert group of innovation stakeholders from government, established and emerging technology enterprises and digital support clusters.

The group’s discussions, mentoring, skills and professional development resources already serve an influential community of over 75,000 BCS members whose views and experiences are shaping digital innovation and helping to ensure that the IT profession plays a major role in economic growth. 

BCS held a debate about the subject of women in IT and entrepreneurs. Hosted by Brian Runciman MBCS it featured Maggie Berry MD of Women in technology and Elizabeth Varley co-founder and CEO of TechHub.
