Group student membership

Students listening to lecture at university lecture theatre

How are you preparing students for the workplace?

Getting your students to think about life beyond study is a challenge shared by most lecturers. That’s why universities across the UK partner with us to provide BCS Student membership for their undergraduates.

BCS membership encourages your computer science students to take control of their own employability - giving them tools to help them prepare for the job market, and putting them in touch with the industry.

Springboard - students can create a winning CV, take an interview simulation, research companies and much more in their personal interactive career centre.

Mentoring network - it’s easy to match up with a BCS mentor and tap into experience straight from the industry, perhaps a newly-qualified practitioner who’ll guide their next steps.

BCS community - promote connections with the wider IT community at a local branch or specialist group; there are over 100 to choose from including our Young Professionals Group (YPG).

Student chapters - our BCS chapter network brings talented, passionate computer science students together throughout the UK to discuss ideas and share information.

Knowledge resources - student members can access our 10k+ ebook library, research databases and journals from EBSCO, plus student newsletter and email updates.

What does it cost?

From as little as £15 p/student p/year, you can provide your annual computer science intake with BCS membership and smooth their journey into fulfilling employment.

The students say it best

"My student membership makes me feel part of the bigger picture in IT. It’s introduced me to the working world, outside of my studies. I’ve got a head start when I leave university."
