BCS Review 2006

The BCS Annual Review 2006 spotlights the efforts made by BCS to ensure increasing standards of professionalism within the IT industry are maintained.

BCS President Charles Hughes explains in his forward: "The theme of change and diverse capabilities and interests are amply demonstrated in the Annual Review. There are articles on compliance and strategy and a slew of articles on aspects of security from phishing to malware. Communications, 3G and mobile computing are also featured along with sections on networking, services, software testing and applications' development tools. These paint a rich picture of the industry present and future."

Other highlights include the chapter on online fraud prevention and passwords pitfalls, which examines next generation authentication software and recommends the use of wireless mobile devices to generate access PINs for each authentication event.
