The British Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN-UK) is a Specialist Group of BCS. Formed in 1991, the aims of the group are:

• to be a forum for the free and open exchange of software process improvement (SPI) experiences and ideas;
• to promote practical and professional SPI;
• to sustain commitment and enhance skills through a programme of networking, publication, mutual support and the recognition of excellence.

SPIN will be of interest to software engineers and managers working to improve software development and software management practices within their organisations.
