Kingston & Croydon Branch event

Date/Time:
Tuesday 16th May at 7.00 for 7.30pm

Venue:
Room 102, Town House, Kingston University, Penrhyn Road, Kingston. Parking in Penrhyn Road car park or to the rear off Fassett Road. Map

Speaker:
David Greenwood, Mission Aviation Fellowship and British Airways

Summary:
This should be a particularly interesting talk. The Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) operates in the most destitute and dangerous parts of the world, flying aid workers and materials to and from remote inaccessible locations.

It is entirely funded by voluntary donations of money and equipment, and has to operate its IT network in sometimes very challenging circumstances. Dave Greenwood is the Surrey representative of MAF and in his day-job works for the information systems division of British Airways.
